Our prices are designed to give you a holistic experience and create a fair pay structure for our photographers.
We believe in the intrinsic value of love and the ritual of the wedding celebration. We have a profound interest in this as a significant story, both on a personal level and a collective one. A celebration where heritage and individuality, tradition and the unconventional, past, present, and future converge.
Our Philosophy
A respectful approach to the craft and to your story

We believe on a wedding day that things happen, unexpected, beautiful things.
The wedding day may be one of the lasting Western rituals that imbues the magic of what makes being a human so divine.
The day itself gifts everyone involved full permission to be expressive and emotional, to say things they normally wouldn’t say, to cry in public revealing their deepest held sentiments, to laugh from the belly from a deep joy that’s felt from being supported within their community, to feel the full weight of nostalgia and sincerity. People dress up in their best outfits and make their way to this day, you serve the best wine and the best food and share stories and wise words, this is ancient. The most pressing element that contributes to this magical environment is that it is centred around your love. The celebration that two people have decided to love each other and that’s the foundation of the day, and it’s the catalyst for the manifestation of why the day feels so magical. There won’t be many days in your life where love reigns supreme, but this day it will.
How could we simply be there and tick off a shot list?
We created Library as a rebellion against the wedding industry. The commodification of this magical moment doesn’t seem right. Photographers make easy work of their marketing campaigns but without any accreditation or regulation. We have decided to take the hard path and serve our couples in an honest way.
No forced posing, No hidden costs, No outsourcing edits, No social media shows.
We still see the coverage as a contribution to your heritage and we will always conduct a list of must-get family photos as these will be some of the most meaningful photos as the years go on.
Our approach remains observant and yet intimately involved. We don’t control the day, it’s not our role and it often stifles any chance of real, raw and honest moments.
Our work is to capture your day with careful observation.

Our Service
Every wedding we are commissioned for includes this service.
Your Initial Consultation
This isn’t your typical wedding consult. No rushed meetings, no sales pitches, and no pressure to make decisions on the spot. Just an evening to slow down and talk about something real.
Our photographers have been selected firstly on their ability to make people feel comfortable so even if you are shy, I’m sure they can match your energy.
We’ll open a good bottle of wine, put on some music, and take our time getting to know each other. No checklists, no rehearsed answers, just a conversation about you. How you met, the quirks of your families, the moments that made you realise this is it. We’ll share our own stories too, because trust goes both ways, and the best wedding photography starts with connection.
Whether we meet at our workspace with a glass of something good or find a cosy spot elsewhere, this is about more than just photography, it’s about seeing if we’re the right fit. No expectations, no obligations, just a meaningful exchange and a chance to understand what really matters to you both.
If nothing else, it’ll be a great night, and you’ll walk away with a clearer vision of what you want, whether it’s with us or not.
Personal & Private Online Gallery
You will have all of your images stored in a private & personal online gallery. You’ll be able to select your favourite images from, hide the ones you want to keep private before you share it with anyone. This will also have a slideshow of all of your images with your favourite playlist and an online print store where you and your family can order the much needed mantle piece.
Direct Line of Contact
A direct line of contact with your photographer via WhatsApp. This is a space where your story unfolds with all the little thoughts that come to mind about the weather-dependent changes that may arise. This is an important way for us to break down our “professional” barriers of access to us. Our service is very personal and your needs matter. We always respond when we have time to give it and we enjoy this process.
Handcrafted Editing with fast delivery
We won’t ship your images overseas or outsource them to AI editing programs. We’re not using online store bought presets that we paste over every photo. We customise a look for your day, factoring in the colour choices you made, the style of wedding, the lighting and the general feel of the day.
We believe this is an important part of the process that we start straightaway. We currently keep to a 2 - 3 week delivery of your full gallery.
Unlimited Consultations
Unlimited consultations in person or via video chat, to your needs.
There are a minimum of two crucial meetings that we will instigate at the beginning of our
journey together and another one right before your day.
This is a gift from your photographer to you. Before you see your full gallery of images you’ll be presented with a short photobook of the photographer’s favourite and most defining moments from the day.
It’s our documentation of what left an impression on us and the important images we want to draw your attention to.
We select images that represent your personalities, and the love you share together and special guests doing something that is a great expression of who they are.
For any other prints or books, you select all of the images that are your favourites but in this case, we give you an insight into the images that changed our perspective of the day.
It’s a nice surprise and something to spend time reflecting on over the years. Where possible we will get together for a drink and your photographer will walk you through the book before allowing you to view all of your photos together.

A Defiant Offering
Our approach to pricing draws on intuitive storytelling and moving beyond rigid, transactional tendencies within the industry.
A non rigid approach
Full Day Service
The industry tends to put a price on minutes and hours, turning what should be an intuitive, creative process into something rigid and transactional.
We’re offering a flexible coverage where you can be sure to have everything you need covered without the stress of adding up hours.

Our Approach to Pricing
We’ve thought a lot about how wedding photography is traditionally structured, and honestly, we don’t love the way it’s usually done.
So instead, we’ve made a conscious choice to step away from that model.
We believe wedding photography should exist outside the restraints of commercial optimisation, where time is measured, segmented, and sold by the hour. A wedding isn’t a production schedule; it’s a living, breathing day. A photographer’s role is not to count minutes but to move with the story, to be where they need to be when it matters most. That’s the work. That’s the art.
Rather than breaking the day into strict timelines and hourly rates, we offer two simple options.
A creative approach
Short Day Service
We understand that some days don’t require us for long at all. Maybe you’re getting married at the registry and then doing a pub crawl or maybe it’s a small lunch in your favourite restaurant with your nearest and dearest. This will cover anything under 6 hours of coverage
3850
This means no one is watching the clock, we’re not upselling extra hours, and no one is stuck shooting for the sake of it. It’s about flexibility, for you and us. If you need more time in the morning, it’s yours. If the story has been told and we don’t need to hang around watching guests sip tea, we wrap up. Simple, honest, and fair.
You get what you actually need, and our photographers get to work with the energy and focus that makes the best images possible.
It’s a way of working that respects the process, the people, and the story. No unnecessary constraints, just a fair and conscious exchange.
Exclusive Elopement packages are available.

Additional Artists
When the day calls for extra eyes.
Some days call for the extra set of eyes, whether that’s a schedule conflict or the number of guests that you have. Some couples book a second photographer for a portion of the day to create images that express a different style to the lead.
We love having another photographer on board to give you alternate angles of certain moments like walking down the aisle and having a dedicated photographer during the cocktail hour focusing on beautiful candid and portraits of your guests.
Second Photographer Full Day
In this case, they will start at the same time as your photographer and finish up when the coverage is done.
A second photographer on a full day service also means they will have the time and liberty to create some experimental images and push their creativity, or allow your photographer to do this.
1500
Second Photographer Half Day
This can either apply to a short day service or a full day service.
Some ways the second photographer for the half day is utilised is by having them start at the ceremony and stay up to the start of the reception. Some couples will have them start at the reception and finish the coverage off at the end of the night.
We can help guide you toward the best option.
900
Every cent of this goes directly to the second photographer. No markups, no middleman. Just fair pay for another skilled artist putting in the work. We believe in valuing photographers properly, and this pricing reflects the level of experience, time, and creative energy they bring to your wedding.
Overtime services
When you want to party on.
We also recognise that some weddings truly stretch from dawn to deep into the night, whether it’s multiple locations, extended cultural ceremonies, brunch the next morning or an after party that just won’t stop. In those cases, we offer overtime coverage, ensuring the same level of focus, energy, and commitment throughout. But most weddings don’t need that, and we won’t push extra hours unless it genuinely makes sense for the story.
Extra Coverage
There are some cases where the extra coverage is needed.
We offer an overtime service when you think you might be partying until 3 am, and you don’t want to miss any shots of you and your guests dancing to your favourite DJ, or in a more wholesome sense, you have all your guests joining you for brunch the next morning.

FAQs
-
We currently work on a 2-3 week turnaround. It all depends on the season, but because we limit how many weddings we book a year, the turnaround is usually quite quick. We get in touch when they start in production and let you know when to expect them. You’ll always get plenty of warning so you can plan your night to view them.
-
Our coverage is quite extensive, it usually shocks our couple how many photos they receive. You will get roughly 100 photos per hour that we are shooting, usually a bit more if there are two photographers. Every photo is custom edited to a look we create to suit your day.
-
We will always create an extensive list of family photos with you that we need to get. We will also do some formal portraits by looking at the camera. However, the direction is light and suggestive rather than forceful. We will only do a handful of them when it feels right.
-
The best way to determine how many hours you need is to start 2 hours before the ceremony for getting ready photos and portraits, you can finish the coverage at the end of formalities and that will give you a rough idea if it is a full day coverage or a shorter coverage.
-
If your date is available, and the pricing and approach align, then we will allow you to customise your package in an online portal. Once you submit that, you will receive a contract and a deposit invoice where you can pay online. We require a deposit of $1500.
-
We just do still photos, however, we are working on partnerships for video and content creation right now. If you prefer it to be in one package, we can customise a quote for you to work with people we trust.
-
We can travel anywhere, we just require the travel costs to be added to your quote, which usually includes flights, 2 nights accommodation and car hire if it is required.

A burning question on so many minds! Believe it or not, for Photographers and Videographers there is no such thing as a “wedding tax” The rates are comparable to what photographers charge for commercial campaigns or editorial projects of this scale. Included in your fee is not just the manual work a photographer puts into the day, or even before or after. It’s a specialised service where you are commissioning a craftsman or an artist to pour all of their creative energy, emotional labour, insightful knowledge and expression into your day. It is an honour for us to do that, but it is an extremely taxing job both physically, but more than that, mentally and emotionally. We are utilising both our right brain and left brain for an extended period of the day, and not to mention the enormous sacrifice it takes to live a life artfully. This is what you are paying for. That’s why it’s so important to vet your photographer, make sure they are the real deal, make sure they’re not a phony copying other people's style, editing with other people's presets and replicating the same shots weekend after weekend. I agree those photographers should not be expensive.
-
Yes, I’m glad you asked. Something prevalent in the industry is outsourcing the editing process. Either to poorer countries for a small fee or to the dreaded AI. We believe the editing process is an important part of our service and we thoroughly enjoy curating your images to match the feel of the day.
-
This has been a conscious choice of ours because after many, many years shooting weddings, something we realised is couples are always trying to find ways to cover everything without adding astronomical amounts of hours. It’s also one of many hidden costs that photographers keep up their sleeve after they lure you in with their attractive base line price. We see it more like a project, as if you commission an artist to make a painting, you would never think to pay them based on the hours it took. It’s a paradigm within the capitalist structure that places value on traceable metrics and within that structure the service becomes more about optimising quantity over quality.
-
This would be awkward to ask but it may be a fear on the back of your mind. It is a huge investment and there are a lot of tricksters out there. There is a high certainty that we really care about your day, there is also a deep dedication to this as a craft. The important distinction to make between a photographer is whether or not someone sees their work as a product or not. I think that is where the problems start to arise, it’s just so easy these days to curate a desirable product online, but the need to replicate the product leads to systems and structures that we feel stifle creativity.
-
We created a co-op agency model. That means that all of the photographers contribute to the workings of the business side of things, and in return we share certain percentages of each job as a cost to the photographer. Each photographer operates as an individual artist, meaning they don’t abide by a certain style, they are free to express themselves. However the current path for wedding photographers is to go it alone, which can be exciting, but the loliness contributes to dissatisfaction and burnout, or the photographer shoots for a studio where they see a tiny fraction of the budget but do majority of the work just to avoid the ‘risk’ of financial instability. We flipped this on its head.
-
It’s really important to mention firstly that less than 30% of what you pay for your photographer to shoot your wedding will go to the photographer, in some cases it would be less than 20%. Big studios operate like a business, they need to increase profit margins and reduce costs, all of which don’t serve you. In a lot of cases, you won’t know who the photographer will be upon booking, and the studio is simply pulling from a list of freelancers who shoot for all of the other studios you got prices from anyway. It’s not truthful. They give them a rigid shot list that abides by the rules to keep the photos aligned with the brand’s “product”.
-
I get it! I really do. Sometimes it’s just easier to not care and take whatever is the best option in front of you. We now look at so many images a day that we have become desensitised to good images. But photography is one of those things where it’s really easy to be a good photographer but extremely hard to become a great one and you only know the difference once you experience it for yourself. Just looking at wedding shots online or on a site won’t do it for you. Often you just like the photos of the people you wish you could be, the curse of advertising. The art is when you see a photo of yourself and it doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable, but it evokes a feeling of love within you. The only way that is possible is through the eyes of someone who has trained themselves to witness beauty in all things. Then they have to know how to use their tools to execute their vision. Whether that be understanding what lighting best communicates the essence you see in someone, or what focal length is the right amount of intimacy to communicate an abstract feeling someone gives off. There’s an infinite amount of layers to how to do this and these are the thoughts that consume a photographer with that ability.
-
On the contrary, we believe this is one of the most varied forms of photography because every couple and their guests are so different. Sometime were at a winery in a remote part of New Zealand and the next weekend we might be in a cool inner city restaurant that we’ve never been to. But ultimately even if we were at the same venue two days apart the whole day will feel completely different. One couple might be completely expressive and overly affectionate with their love and the next couple might be more private and reserved with more subtle expressions of their love.
-
No.
No. We are photographers first. We choose weddings as our subject because it’s an environment we want to be in and it’s a fascinating anthropological hotbed of exciting and beautiful moments to capture. You can make money shooting anything but ultimately the great photographers are only great because they’re so interested in the subject. the best fashion photographers are obsessed with fashion, the best national geographic photographers studied their subject not photography.
