Join the collective

We operate as a co-op agency model to centralise the role of the artist, to focus on their work and create an environment of collaboration and support.

Library is a carefully curated collective of photographers.

We’re creating a new way to work.

This is for the person who falls between wanting to work alone and wanting to work for studios.

You receive the majority of the fee from your couple, and a small percentage is used towards the work of the collective, all of which filters back to benefit you, the photographer.

What we’re offering

Our rebellious offering to give you access to:

Seamless systems: contracts, comms, delivery, and more

We have created a structure for you to thrive. This is the most frustrating and time-consuming thing for a photographer to manage. Joining the collective will give you a seamless client experience to support your relationship with your couples

Aligned wedding enquiries that match your energy

We’re not interested in acquiring bulk enquiries for the sake of bookings. We’re looking for a couple who deeply resonate with your work and you as a person. We won’t force you to shoot any thing you believe doesn’t align with your vision

Ongoing exposure through brand-led marketing

A part of the fee distribution is a marketing budget which will be a collaborative collective effort to increase exposure for you as an artist and the collective. All marketing efforts are communicated internally with transparency.

Workshops, events & group calls to stay inspired

We’re going to get together either together or individually, with the sole focus of inspiration and education.

Creative community with feedback, support & zero ego

There’ll be plenty of opportunities to meet, work with and grow with other artists within the collective. Appreciation for your work won’t only come from your couples but together we will celebrate your work and constant reviews of your work is an option for those wanting to grow as an artist.

Total freedom to take your own bookings, no strings

Weddings you receive that did not come from the work of the collective do not require fees to the collective. More on that below.

What makes us different?

We Pay Photographers Fairly

Most studios pay their photographers 25–35% of the couple’s fee, in a lot of cases, that is less. We flipped the model. Library photographers earn more than double that, often $300–$500/hr.

Our structure ensures you’re not just paid for showing up but for the vision, presence, and intention you bring to your work.

You receive the bulk of the fee and a small percentage returns to the collective for the work of the collective.

No Exclusivity. No Fees on Your Referrals.

When a couple books through you, you keep 100%. No central fee. No referral cut. No distribution slice. And you’re still welcome to use our systems, branding, and support.

Collective Over Competition

This isn’t a profit-driven business. It’s a co-op. Every booking supports the visibility of the group. We grow through real exposure, feedback, and presence.

Studios Keep 65–75% of the couple’s fee.

Our photographers are paid generously, often earning double the industry standard.

Going Solo = Pressure

Going it alone means admin, marketing, and isolation. At Library, you keep your creative freedom while being deeply supported.

Our goal is that the Library photographers are the most resourced and trained wedding photographers in the country.

Support That Feels Human

Group calls, mentorship, trips, training, merch and workshops will be a part of the shared pull of funds.

It’s a co-operative creative agency built around shared energy, aligned values, and mutual momentum.

You’re supported with:

  • Mentorship + real-time feedback on your work

  • Exposure through collective marketing

  • Lead flow that fits your style + values

  • A thriving group of artists who see you and have your back

Our goals and future plans

Our goal is to expand to 10 photographers across Australia over the next year all shooting a minimum of 10 weddings a year.

This allows for a significant Central fund and marketing budget.
This will allow us to be advertised everywhere, marketing support, PR budget and social media content help.

Through our shared central fund, we want to create products for you to know you are a part of something bigger, hotshoe tokens with reminders, camera straps etc. We want to be able to fund flights for all of us to get together, workshops, training with the world’s best wedding photographers, and trips overseas to photograph non-wedding rituals.

This is all possible if there are enough of us and if we share.

Within the collective, opportunities to fly to different cities to shoot with the other photographers, pick up editing work for each other and learn from each other.

There is no catch, at least not one we have discovered yet.
Jarred has been a wedding photographer for 16 years, shooting for some of Australia’s most prominent studios, capturing the country’s highest budget weddings, celebrities and all of this was born out of imagining something that he would have loved. This is quite socialist in regards to the idea, but when the system has failed artists, it is the role of the artist to create, and to create new ways of working is a part of that.

Our future plans include accreditation. A process for photographers to submit their work and work towards an accreditation, for couples to know their photographer is reliable and an artist in their own right.

To expand the collective to filmmakers and content creators, becoming a home for wedding creators who support each other, share knowledge and recourses.
